CJ WOODEN / POLICIES
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: September 12, 2026
CJ Wooden is the independent consulting and advisory practice of Bryan Wooden ("CJ Wooden," "I," or "me"). This policy explains how personal information is handled in connection with this website, inquiries, and professional services.
Information collected
You may voluntarily provide information through contact forms, email, consultation inquiries, Calendly or other scheduling tools, client engagements, purchases, and invoices. This may include your name, email address, phone number, company, job title, hiring or recruiting needs, and other information you choose to share.
Engagement information may include professional profiles, candidate information, and recruiting materials supplied by clients or prospects, or professional information researched as part of an agreed service. Please share only information you are authorized to provide and that is relevant to the engagement.
The website and its providers may collect basic technical information, such as IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, referring pages, and access times through hosting logs or analytics, where used. Third-party tools may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.
How information is used

- Providing consulting, sourcing, recruiting strategy, hiring support, recruiting operations, and talent advisory services.
- Preparing proposals, contracts, invoices, and related communications, and processing purchases.
- Improving the website and services and maintaining business and accounting records.
- Supporting security, fraud prevention, and tax, regulatory, and legal compliance.
Service providers and other disclosures
CJ Wooden does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers as needed to operate the business and deliver services. These may include Stripe for payments, Netlify for website hosting and technical logs, email providers, Calendly or other scheduling platforms, analytics services where used, and other business software used for communications, document management, accounting, and service delivery. The information shared depends on the provider's role and the purpose of the service.
Relevant recruiting and engagement information may be shared with the client or other intended engagement participants to carry out the agreed services. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers, to comply with applicable law or lawful requests, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, address fraud or security concerns, or resolve disputes. Providers may process information in countries other than your own and may have their own privacy policies.
Payment processing
Stripe processes payment information. CJ Wooden does not directly store complete customer credit or debit card numbers. CJ Wooden may receive payment status, billing details, transaction identifiers, and limited payment-method information needed for invoices, records, support, and refunds. Stripe's handling of payment data is described in its Privacy Policy.
Data security
Information is handled with reasonable care and shared for the business purposes described above. Payment entry is handled by Stripe rather than collected directly by CJ Wooden, and this website is served over HTTPS. Information held by third-party providers is also subject to their security practices. No website, communication method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not send full payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information by email or through an inquiry.
Data retention
Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to respond to inquiries, provide services, maintain business and accounting records, meet applicable legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention depends on the information, the engagement, and applicable requirements. Information no longer needed is deleted or anonymized where reasonably practicable, subject to legal retention requirements and provider backup cycles.
Your choices and requests
You may choose not to provide optional information, although some information is needed to respond or deliver services. You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, or ask questions about its use, by contacting the email below. Depending on applicable law, you may have additional rights, such as objecting to or restricting certain processing. Requests will be considered under applicable law; identity verification or record retention may be necessary. Browser settings and provider controls may let you manage cookies or similar technologies.
Third-party websites
This website may link to third-party sites or tools. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. Review those policies before sharing information with them.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as services, tools, or requirements change. The latest version will appear on this page with an updated date, with additional notice where required by law.
